Just can’t get enough

Games I currently can’t stop playing:

• Fable 2 — I have a hard time putting this one down. It’s been a long time since I picked up and RPG-type game, and I’ve forgotten how enveloping they can be.
• NHL 09 — Still can’t get over how much playing this game is like watching a hockey game. I want to try out a match with 12 players total.
• Halo 3 — Feels like this game has been out forever now, but it’s still fun to pop online for a few matches.

Never mind choosing good or evil, Fable 2 is making me a procrastinator

Actually not really. But I am having trouble putting the game down so I can pop other games into my Xbox for review. Not that Shaun White Snowboarding isn’t a frolicking good time – it’s fun and has been given a bum rap by some of the other reviewers (Gamespot). It’s just that Fable 2 is addictive; a hero’s gotta woo his future wife, get married, have some kids, find some treasure, slay some bad guys, learn some spells… you get the idea.

Hate those tough decisions

Hmmm… what do I do? play Portal from the Orange Box or work… too tough a decision to make before noon.

Midship underneath the Purple Reign?

Midship reborn?

Halo developer Bungie is showing off a new Halo 3 multiplayer map at the Penny Arcade Expo.

Those fortunate enough to be at PAX can visit the Bungie booth for a chance to play Assembly, previously known as Purple Reign. It’s still in development and Bungie says they haven’t yet set a release date.

They have also released a stack of screenshots, and the new map looks a lot like Midship — one of the most popular Halo 2 maps. It’s certainly not an exact replica, but it does look close in some places.

Can’t wait to read about how this map plays once some of those fortunate enough to be a PAX write up their thoughts.

Well folks, I’m gone fishin’ so Gamer Tag will be updated even less frequently (read not at all) until around Aug. 20th-ish.

In the meantime, go watch old episodes of Zero Punctuation, or watch Arby n’ the Chief, or play this fun game.
